How Can I Support City Lax?

Denver City Lax is able to operate through the generosity of volunteers and donors. Volunteers help facilitate year-round lacrosse, education and enrichment programs. City Lax is financially supported by donations from individuals, foundation grants, and fundraising events.

• Make sure your participant is present
• Make sure your participant is prepared to practice/compete/learn
• Communicate any questions, concerns, or schedule conflicts with us as soon as possible
• Help us reinforce daily and weekly themes focusing on character development
• Encourage your participant(s) to practice their fundamentals at home
• Basic: Practicing cradling, scooping, tossing the ball up to themselves
• Play catch with them
• Encourage them to play wall ball
• Setup a goal or bounce back at your house (we typically have both available for any family who would like to utilize them)

There is no cost to participate with City Lax and no requirement placed on making a donation. For those interested in supporting financially you can do so at one of our annual events, or by making an individual donation.

City Lax participants and family members are encouraged to take part in the annual City Lax Dash. Participating in the Dash is easy, fun, and a great way to support the organization!

For the past 3 years, the City Lax team in the Dash has been the leading fundraising group! We need your help making that 4 years in a row!

Additional Dash Information

• The City Lax Dash is a 5K run/walk at City Park on Sunday, February 9, 2025.
• Players, parents, and any family members can participate. 
• Each person participating in the Dash needs to register, and each person registering will need their own email. We ask each City Lax member participating in the Dash to raise $50 or more.
• Once you register for the Dash, we will make you a personal page on our Dash GiveSmart campaign site.
• You will then receive an email from GiveSmart and Coach Eric with information on how to access your page as well as next steps
• You will direct friends and family to support your run in the City Lax Dash by making a contribution to your fundraising page
• We ask each City Lax member participating in the Dash to raise $50 or more.

The City Lax Gala is the organization's biggest annual event. The event includes over 400 attendees from throughout the lacrosse, business, and education communities who come together to celebrate and support Denver City Lax. More information.

City Lax primarily relies on volunteers to coach and/or instruct during lacrosse and education programs run throughout the year. Those interested in bringing a specific expertise should contact us directly.

Additional volunteer opportunities often arise throughout programs (i.e. helping with event setup, break down, etc) and we'll communicate available openings.

Spring teams often need help organizing post-game snacks/drinks as well as end of year coach gifts.
